Awards and Media Reviews for Mitchell's Ocean Club:
Best Dining Service
The best way to describe the newly-remodeled Mitchell’s Ocean Club in Easton Town Center is to think less Little Mermaid and more luxury ocean liner. While the emphasis on curves and circles has been maintained, the playful underwater elements have been replaced by warm wood paneling and a tan stone accent wall. Amber lighting and tabletop candle-lamps illuminate the dining room, while the wine cases and bar are accentuated in luminescent blue. An outdoor terrace offers additional seating during fair weather and a piano bar contributes to a supper club atmosphere.
Ocean Club’s extensive wine list sets the table for two standout appetizers: the Jumbo Lump Crabcake ($12), and the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli with Golden Oak Mushrooms ($9).
As it did before the remodeling, Mitchell’s Ocean Club offers a number of fine seafood entrees, including the Pecan Crusted Mountain Trout ($19), the Chilean Sea Bass with champagne truffle sauce ($29), and the Ginger Salmon, served with snap peas and a soy sauce ($21).
Unlike its predecessor, the new Ocean Club has an expanded selection of prime steaks ($27-39). Try the Filet Mignon ($27-34) “Oscar” style, with tender jumbo lump crabmeat and Hollandaise sauce ($7).
All of the deserts are tempting, but the best of the lot has to be the Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Torte: thick peanut butter mousse, chocolate ganache, and an Oreo cookie crust ($8).
If you like Mitchell’s Steakhouses and you always have wished that there were a location closer to Easton, you will welcome the new Mitchell’s Ocean Club. Customer service is a top priority, as evidenced by optional black napkins so that your dark pants and dresses aren’t covered in white fuzz when you leave the restaurant.
