February is American Heart Month, so this is a great time for me to talk about the heart-healthy benefits of eating seafood. Many of us already know that fish is a great source of protein and it’s low in saturated fat, but did you also know fish is an excellent source of Omega-3 fatty acids? I just finished reading an article published by the American Heart Association, which says that Omega-3 fatty acids are not only very beneficial for your heart if you’re at risk or suffering from heart disease, but also for if you’re already in great shape! Because of the health advantages of Omega-3 fatty acids, such as a decreased risk of arrhythmias and lower blood pressure, they recommend eating at least two servings of fish per week. Read More >
